Projects in which members of the BIOECONOMY Cluster participated

BIOECO RDI

Through the project BIOECO RDI (2018-2020) – ADRION Programme, Serbia has been identified in the Western Balkan region as a country where there are significant delays in green reconversion, multifunctionality, technological innovation and cross-sectoral integration within companies operating in the biomass sectors. Connecting business entities and scientific research institutions will form the necessary initial impulse necessary for the bio-economy sector to develop through an innovation-driven process. The project addresses some of the main challenges and needs identified in the region and highlights possible areas of cooperation where international cooperation could contribute to the development of the local and regional bioeconomy. Its expected results are the implementation of a regional and international innovation system based on innovative strategies based on the concept of BIOECONOMY

GODANUBIO

The GODANUBIO (2020-2022) – Danube Transnational Programme, in which members of the program team participated, pointed to the problem of depopulation, which strongly affects the Republic of Serbia. The exodus is caused by better employment opportunities for young people and prospects for a better life in the cities. The joint creation of future strategies for increasing the attractiveness of rural areas is the key to giving young people new incentives for revitalizing rural areas. The target groups of young, entrepreneurial women’s organizations in the countryside dealing with rural tourism are recognized in the concept of BIOECONOMY as a tool that encourages regional development, improving the creation of value through new cooperation, business models and value chains, and increases the attractiveness of staying and even moving to rural areas.
